Family owned since 2014.
It started in a body shop
Mean Mug Auto was started by two brothers who worked together in an auto body shop.
One of us had done body work for years. He wanted every job to come out as close to perfect as it could. For him, that meant factory parts and nothing else.
The other was new to the trade. Then he saw his first work order, and what the factory parts cost. He asked why the shop did not use aftermarket parts. They cost far less.
The answer was simple. There was no aftermarket brand the shop could count on. One box was fine. The next one was not. With a customer's vehicle on the line, that was not a chance worth taking.
So we started our own
That gave us an idea. What if we picked the makers ourselves, and only sold parts we would put on a vehicle ourselves?
That was 2014. We have been at it ever since.
